Here is a look at progressing power levels of the Z-Warriors throughout the sagas. These are not the real actual power levels but "educated guesses". 
 

  
What's your Power Level?  
To figure out your power level, just add your height in inches with your weight. Then, add how much you can bench press add your age. After that divide that sum by 50, and you got your power level! Keep in mind the average human power level is between 5-8.

In general, Saiyans are a warrior race of very strong fighters. They also the have ability to become Oozaru. The tail that is usually rapped around the waist to avoid injury in battle helps them to become Oozaru. They're from the planet Vegeta that was destroyed by Freeza when Goku was shipped to earth. Only 4 Saiyans including Goku, Vegeta, Radditz, and Nappa survived the horrible fate of their Planet. But Saiyans are a surviving race and won't let this loss bring them down.

The Legend
There is a legend that predicts every 1000 years a Super Saiyan will emerge. He will surpass every limit of any normal Saiyan and will have extrodanary power. He will be the most dominate being ever in the whole universe. The legend comes true when Goku is pushed beyond his limits against Freeza and becomes a Super Saiyan.

Were-Monkey
Is the ability is to transform into a monkey or Oozaru when in the presence of a full moom. This Monkey is about 70ft. tall, has a powerlevel of or over 100 thousand, and is hard to be controlled by the Saiyan himself.

Super Saiyan
This is a powered-up version of a normal sayain. When thay reach this stage, theri hair truns bright yellow and there eyes trun blue. The legend of the Super Sayain states that there can be no stronger force when a Super Sayain is at battle. Just about all of the important Sayains reached this stage. This includes Goku, Vegeta, Brolli, Gohan, Goten and Trunks. The requirments for getting to this stage are simple: The character must obtain a power level of or over 100,000 and for his first tranformation, he must get super angry or when a saiyan is pushed beyond his or her limits and can't hold in the angry that is bottled up inside them. Otherwise, each tranformation is simple. Before the Super Saiyan transformation can be enabled, you must have a pure heart of good or evil. This form allows he or she to be able to handle great speed and power. After they're first transformation it becomes more and more easier to do. As a Super Saiyan the hair is a bright yellow and sticks up. Also the eyes are a blue shade. People that have reached this level are Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, Goten, Vegetto, Gogeta, Gotenks and Brolly.

Ultra Super Saiyan
A sort of mid-level between SSJ and SSJ2, USSJ is a very strong, yet very slow form. It takes a long time to attain, and produces a lot of stress on the muscles causing them to vastly increase in size. This increase in muscle slow down speed, because it is hard to move. People that have reached this level are Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and Broly.

Super Saiyan 2
This stage is the second level of Super Saiyan, where the body mass and muscle mass increases. The hair grows just a little longer, and the eyes are blue still. This level is stronger and faster then SSJ1 (Super Saiyan 1). Gohan was the first to reach this level during the battle with Cell, when Andriod 16 was killed. People who have reached this level are Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Vegetto, and Broly.

Super Saiyan 3
In this stage, first the hair grows longer, the eyebrows disappear, the body looks more cut, and the speed and strength are increased. Goku was the first to achieve this then followed Gotenks.Only Goku and Gotenks were able to reach this level.

Super Saiyan 4
Super Saiyan 4, in DragonballGT, Goku was the first to do this. First your hair is no long blond it is the color you are born with but still a little longer. The face is very lean. The whole body is covered with hair, and your tail grows out. The tail allows you to turn into Golden Oozaru. Vegeta becomes Super Saiyan 4, when he demands Bulma to build a machine that will turn him into this last stage. People who are able to do this are Goku and Vegeta.
